In theory any size gutter can be used to drain any roof run off. What controls design is the number of downpipes needed to perform within the capacity of each gutter. In practise the larger the gutter, the less number of downpipes required. Also in the design requirement the recommendation of an absolute minimum fall of 1 in 500 to be used for all gutter installations. Good fall reduces the risk of leaf and debris build up that could affect durability.
Whereas residential gutters are usually roll formed to standard sizes or profiles, guttering used in the commercial, industrial or building / construction sectors are commonly called box gutters or industrial eaves gutters and are folded to required shapes and measurements for volume control e.g. Box Gutters A square or rectangular gutter that is used within the boundaries of the roof. It may be formed between a roof surface and a parapet wall or between two roof surfaces; Industrial Eaves Gutters A purpose made external gutter which is located at the edge of an industrial roof. It is usually supported by heavy gauge brackets that have been designed specifically to suit the industrial eaves gutter shape.

Most of the gutters we supply feature the ingenious 'hook fold' suspension rib on the back of the gutter. This enables the gutters to be fixed quickly and securely to different fascia using suspension clips. When fixing to timber fascia, the suspension rib can also be used with timber fix clips.
The gutters we supply are strong, yet lightweight making them easy to handle. Pre-manufactured gutter mitres and gutter angles for many guttering profiles reduce the need for creating mitres on-site, therefore simplifying the installation process.
